Artists Gallery

Chosen from Boston school population to study art at the Museum of Fine Arts in special art program.
Mainly self-taught and worked and studied with many working artists in the Boston area. Spent the summer of 1967 in Montreal, Quebec working with the artist Verdi of Montreal.

A member of the Winthrop Art Association Since 1979. Through the years has held many positions such as Program Coordinator, President, Vice President, Festival Chairperson and several other jobs in the organization. Chaired many special projects for the Art Association. In 1999 coordinated creators of the Winthrop panorama mural shown in the Classic Landscaping Co. design exhibit “life’s A Beach” (Silver Medal) and organized the appearances of 23 artists in that exhibit. Participated as a demonstrating artist with Classic Landsaping’s 1996, 1999, 2000 design exhibits. Co-Chairperson on “The Great Beach Wall Mural” in Winthrop.

Other art shows “On Your Own Time in 1989,” a Corporate Art Show in Boston. The Hamilton/Wenham Art Shows, The Greater Lynn Arts and Crafts Art Shows and in Beverly Farms outdoor show. A Winthrop Art Association group show at the Marblehead Art Association’s Hooper Mansion.

Involved in the many years of Art On The Square in Winthrop in July and September and many other outdoor shows in and around the area.

Teaching art at the Winthrop Senior Center and in own studio, “Studio Dawn”. Work sells from studio.

A full time working artist and work hangs on permanent display in the Winthrop Town Hall and across the United States, France, Australia and Canada.

Cover of the 1999 Calendar for Highland Real Estate and work also in the Town of Winthrop Brochure. Design of the 2001 Holiday Ornament for the Winthrop Chamber of Commerce. Designed the 2003/2004 town banners and many murals for private homes.

Demonstrations: The Winthrop Art Association, The Needham Art Association, Watertown Art Association, Winthrop Public Schools Marblehead Senior Group, Governor Winthrop Nursing Home and taught at The School of Performing Arts in Winthrop. I have also done two demonstration videos, which have been seen on cable TV in Winthrop and Revere.
