Eva Kearney is the current President of the Winthrop Art
Association, and has held other offices on its Board as well, for the past
25 years. She has been an
artist and Art Educator for over 20 years, teaching the last 12 at Winthrop
High School. She received her BFA in Art Education and Studio Art at Massachusetts
College of Art in 1979, and in addition, has taken many courses and workshops
at various colleges, art schools and museums. Eva is also the current Secretary
of the Massachusetts Art Education Association.
Through the years, Eva has created and sold works in pen&ink, watercolor,
acrylic, hand-made paper, graphite, printmaking, calligraphy and photography.
She has won many awards for her Photography in Winthrop Art Association
and other local shows. Her photos of Tall Ships in Boston Harbor have been
given
and sold to collections all over the world.
