We would like to also thank Richard Honan of Honan Signs for the A frame signs and his donation of the grand prize for the raffle; a sea glass flower pot. We want to give a big huge thank you to Phyllis and Roland Fluet for always being there to do our programs. They are so wonderful to do that for us. We would also like to thank McDonalds for donating their drink container, the Winthrop Market Place for donating cookies platters, Muffin Town for donating muffins and Leterrie’s for their big pan pizzas.

ART EXHIBITS AT THE AIRPORT
The WAA is exhibiting at two terminals at the airport. Terminal A and Terminal E. Several of the members have their work on display. The A Terminal is open and in the arrival area but the E Terminal exhibit is beyond Security and you cannot freely see it. Massport is planning on giving an Artist's and guest’s reception on August 15th. If you are interested in going contact Dawn Mahoney at 617-846-2644 or Beverly Barisano at 617-846-5305. Massport will be sending out invitations too. You will have to have an updated ID or License to attend the reception.


JUNE DINNER

The WAA did not have a pot luck dinner after all due to lack of sign-ups. We went to Jevelli’s Restaurant on June 7th and we ordered off the menu and paid individually. We had a wonderful time and we elected our new board

ART ON THE FRENCH SQUARE

This year we will be having our Art on the Square on Saturday, July 30th from 9AM to 2PM. Each artist sets up their own area the way they wish and this is free for paid up members only.

ART IN CREST AVE. PARK

This year we are going to try Art in Crest Ave. Park on August 13th from 9AM to 2PM. The same as Art on the Square.

YARD SALE

The WAA will be holding a YARD SALE as a Fund-raiser on Saturday, August 20th from 9AM to 2PM. If you have any treasures that you think might bring in a nice price contact Dawn Mahoney at 617-846-2644. We will be accepting donations the week before the yard sale.
The yard sale will be held at the Mahoney’s house once again at 49 Bartlett Rd., Winthrop.

FALL FOLIAGE DAY TRIP

This year we are going back to North Conway, the Mount Washington Hotel, North Conway Village and a surprise stop. (Date, Price etc.)

Matthew Martelli submitted the painting Esperanto to be sold at the second annual Summer Party at the Museum of Fine Arts and was chosen instead for the “Building a Collection” auction which was held on June 7th. Only 2 paintings out of 360 submissions were chosen for this special auction. The Painting sold.

Martelli Studio & Fine Art Gallery Presents New Oil paintings by Matthew Martelli with a Tribute to Artist and Friend Luigi DiFunizio on Saturday June 25th, 5:00 – 9:00 PM at 414 Main Street, Melrose, MA.

Nan Howes is giving watercolor classes and you can reach her at 617-846-5902.

Dawn Mahoney is giving art classes with a strong focus on drawing skills and then working towards other mediums and you can reach her at 617-846-2644.


Member Dottie Doucette is selling a White 20X10-foot tent. Poles easy to put up. Great condition. $25 also a stone fireplace, plugs in and has a nice looking fire and also throws heat, $35. Need a small truck to pitch it up. Call Dottie or Don at 978-531-2674.
